On race day, race staff reserves the right and responsibility to cancel the race in the event that putting athletes in the water or on the race course could be unsafe. Every option would be considered to delay or postpone the event or alter the race course. Race cancellation is always the last option, but the safety of participants and recommendations of permitting entities must be considered when making such decisions.
Refund policy for Lonetree Sprint Triathlon
2021 Covid-19 update: At the time of registration open Larimer County is operating at “level orange.” Larimer County and the City of Loveland have been permitting in person athletic events in 2020 and 2021. We cannot predict with 100% certainty that the pandemic situation won’t regress or that events could not be canceled for other “normal cancellation” considerations.
Weather, fires, floods, civil unrest, earthquakes, and other unforeseen events.
In case of cancellation within 30 days of the event participants will have the choice of a 50% refund of their entry fee or deferred to 2022. Less than thirty days and refunds will be at the discretion of race management, all options will be considered for partial refunds or deferrals to 2022.

Volunteers – All events need numerous volunteers to run a safe and organized event. Some local youth organizations will be benefiting from this event and helping run the race, but there is always need for more volunteers! If you would like to volunteer and enjoy a free lunch and T-shirt, email Peggy Shockley.
